Weekday Musings: Just Another Blog Post
The week is coming to an end. I hope you're doing well. The past few weeks have been so eventful for me, and it feels like I just got off of a rollercoaster. It's terrifying and exciting, both at the same time.
Here are a few musings from my caffeinated moments, fresh from my phone note app (and refined for this blog post hehe). Feel free to grab a cup of Joe while reading.
Weekday Musings
Saw kangaroos and wallabies for the first time
Last month, we went to Phillip Island Wildlife Park to see some animals, and while some were missing from their cages, there were open spaces for emus, Black swans, kangaroos, and wallabies- they are the cutest! I had to take a photo with one (thanks to my niece for this snap).
Well. I'm still unsure how to distinguish a wallaby from a kangaroo, but according to my image search, the one I fed was a wallaby. Please correct me if I'm wrong. But anyhow, look how adorable, I love its cute little hand on mine hehe.
A double-edged sword
Social media is the double-edged sword that I’m talking about. It’s a great tool to communicate with distant friends and family, but at the same time, it is also a nest for online bullies and fake news peddlers- not to mention scammers, who are more clever these days. And speaking of this, we need to remind the senior citizens in our families to be careful, as they can easily fall prey to online phishing. Some are targeting our elderly.
BIR inventory of unused official receipts
Yesterday, I went to our RDO (043) to submit my inventory list of unused receipts. The line was long, but it was moving and organized. If you haven’t done yours yet, don’t worry because BIR is open to extending the deadline. Here’s how to do it:
Bring two (2) copies of the inventory list form;
Go to your RDO and look for the queue for the inventory list stamping;
Have the two copies stamped- then you get to keep the other one.
Please note that some RDOs may have a different format, but the items would be the same, so if they do, you only need to copy the information.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned in life
If you want to keep your relationships healthy, set boundaries. I cannot stress further the importance of protecting your personal space and setting clear limits so people do not go beyond them. And this goes for all relationships in your life- family bonds, relatives, romantic partnerships, marriage, friendships, acquaintanceships, colleagues, etc. Think of it as a form of self-love, too. When you honor your needs and recharge, you have more to give.
Cute dogs
Sneaky and Nando (our two dogs in the province) were so cute when they were puppies; they were too pure for this world. Too cute for words. They liked cuddles and belly rubs. But now that they have grown a bit, they no longer want to hang out with us, lol. They just want to go out, play, and grab anything they can, including slippers and curtains. I want to share with you their photos as puppies. I love them.
So, yeah. These are some of my weekday musings.
Well. I still have a lot in mind, but the rest are for my journal to keep.
That’s it for today. Have a great week ahead 💜
