This Korean Cafe in Quezon City is a Must-Visit | Hisbeans
Calling all my fellow coffee lovers! This cozy hangout spot in Quezon City is a must-visit.
It’s called Hisbeans, a Korean cafe committed to serving great beverages to its customers. From what I’ve learned, the first branch was opened at Handong University in 2009. Since then, they’ve expanded to 20 locations in the same region, and now, they’re in the Philippines.
Address: 116 Timog Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City, Metro Manila (near GMA and Victoria Arts & Theater Tower).
It was a nice Monday afternoon when we discovered Hisbeans. Bet, Enzo, and I just finished having lunch and felt like getting coffee for an extra boost. We looked for nearby spots, and luckily, we chanced upon this precious gem in Timog, so we decided to try it out.

The Vibe | What to expect at Hisbeans?
I’m sure you can already tell how nice the place is, just by looking at the photos. It has this tropical/industrial feel to it which creates the perfect vibe for relaxing or working. There’s plenty of space to move around as well, and the furniture is comfortable; no unsteady tables or chairs.
The Menu | What can you order?
Hisbeans offers hot and cold drinks, all available in one size. My sister ordered Dark Chocochip Hisbeanccino, Enzo went for a hot Americano, while I ended up having two drinks; one Americano and one Vanilla Latte.
We also tried their Burnt Basque Cheesecake, which was yummy.
The Service | Are they helpful?
Their customer service is without a doubt, excellent. I think it was around 2PM when we arrived there, and at that time, we were the only customers. They were very attentive; after getting our drinks and sitting down, the staff turned on the accent lights, played Korean music, checked if the air sanitizer was working, and checked on us if we needed anything.
They also go the extra mile. When Enzo realized that his coffee was spilling, he requested one of the baristas to transfer his drink to a new mug, but to our surprise, he came back with a new order of his Americano instead. Thoughtful gesture.
The Baristas | Who’s preparing your coffee?
The best part about visiting this cafe is knowing that their baristas and coffee specialists are talented Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). They’ll be the ones to prepare your premium cuppa when you visit. They’re friendly, accommodating, and they make delicious coffee! Love how they’re also game with taking photos.
What else?
It’s worth mentioning that they have a well-maintained restroom. I’m talking about clean walls, mopped floors, and a tidy sink with good water pressure. These simple things made our dining experience even better.
Of course, it’s truly admirable that this enterprise promotes equal opportunities in employment by hiring PWDs, and having faith in their capacity. That in itself is very inspiring.
The Verdict | Are you coming back?
Yes definitely! We enjoyed ourselves and were able to do a lot of catching up. The coffee was also worth the price, as well as the ambiance and the service.
