Unwinding & Recharding at Taman Tasik Permaisuri in Cheras (Kuala Lumpur)
I’m sure most would agree that there is something relaxing about visiting parks (or any place with plants and animals). It just feels good to be around nature. It must be the oxygen and the sight of greens that put us in that calm state.
During our trip to Kuala Lumpur, we stayed in Cheras, and I was glad to know there was a nearby park we could visit during the day. We had a bad case of cold that week, and what better way to recover faster than to be in nature, right?
Taman Tasik Permaisuri in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur
Taman Tasik Permaisuri (which translates to Queen’s Lake Garden) is a 122-acre public park in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.
You can go here if you want to get some air and relax. The place is massive. They have gazebos, concrete tables, playgrounds, jogging trails, picnic areas, and different gardens that showcase the beauty of various plants- this is a great place to take your parents or grandparents if you’re traveling with them. Chill lang kayo dito.
The park is well-maintained. You can tell from the facilities and the gardens.
This is where the pretty flowers are. So lovely! The colors stand out during the day when it’s warm and sunny.
These are the ones I loved the most, the Purple orchids! And since I happened to bring my kaftan dress (the same color as the flowers), I wore it the second time we visited and took photos with the orchids again.
In the photos, it looks like the park is empty, but there were families and couples in the picnic areas. There were also solo joggers and some individuals doing yoga.
In the middle, there's a lake that completes the whole scenery. You can see this from anywhere in the park.
Calisthenics Area
Fitness enthusiasts can enjoy the calisthenics equipment available inside the park.
Komune Living & Wellness
Inside the park, you can access Komune- a wellness hub with cafes, food stalls, spas, and even salons. It’s an area where you can take a break and have snacks. Most of the people here are senior citizens.
Others:
Parking won’t be a problem because they have a lot of free spaces, even during weekends;
There are no stores inside the park, but you can bring your food and have it in one of the many tables available for everyone to use;
If you need to go to the restroom, I suggest you go to Komune (the establishment I mentioned earlier). The toilets are clean.
