The Glass Slide at Dubai's Sky Views Observatory
Hi everyone! Today, I will take you to one of Dubai's popular observation decks. Here's what you need to know when you visit Sky Views Observatory.
Where to Find Sky Views Observatory
Address: Address Sky View Emaar Square Area Downtown - Dubai - United Arab Emirates
Sky Glass Slide
Slide from the 53rd level to the 52nd when you book a glass slide experience.
Depending on the package you avail, you can do a one-time slide or max out your time with an unlimited slide deal. Regardless, it’s fun and memorable. We did it during the day, which was great, but I think it would also be exciting to do it at night, with all the city lights.
There is nothing to worry about if you’re feeling nervous; they give a quick briefing, have safety precautions in place, and the actual slide only goes for less than five seconds.
Sky Glass Walk
The Sky Glass Walk is a thrilling experience perfect for those who would like to take the first step in conquering their fear of heights.
The experience is something everyone in your family or group of friends would enjoy. You can take your time walking on the observatory’s clear glass floors that span 25 meters long. I loved this the most because we had stunning views of the organized roads below us. It was interesting seeing another busy day in the city from that perspective.
Sky Edge Walk
To those who want a good adrenaline rush, the sky edge walk would be the best activity to book. It’s one of their most popular offers. This is the only one we didn't try.
The experience includes walking along the edge of the building over 200 meters high and viewing the gorgeous skyscrapers of Dubai, one of which is the Burj Khalifa- the tallest in the world.
Where to Get your Tickets
As per the suggestion of my roommate, who accommodated us during our first night in DXB, it is always to book through the Cobone, a coupon app where you can check out great deals on a wide range of activities, whether you’re planning to dine, relax, or have an adventure.
You can also book via Klook, another app that offers amazing deals ⬇️
Inclusions
Different offers have different inclusions, but most would offer a package covering the Sky Glass Slide and Glass Sky Walk experience, complete with any hot or cold drink of your choice from their bar on the 52nd floor. I had a slushie for a change. It was delicious.
Where to Eat After
After the activity, you can dine in one of the restaurants at Dubai Mall for lunch or dinner. The best thing is that there’s no need to hail a ride since Sky Views Observatory connects to the metro station and the air-conditioned indoor walkway heading to Dubai Mall, which is only a few minutes away. The accessibility part was well thought out. If that’s not enough, there’s also a series of walkalators inside the walkway if you don’t feel like walking or have blisters.
That would be all, guys. Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check out the other Dubai blog posts in the blog's Food & Travel section.
