Life Lately | Birthdays, Trip to the Market, and More
Hola! How are you doing? I hope life's been great for you. If not, I hope you find all the strength that you need.
Welcome to another Life Lately post, where I share a few things about life lately. I noticed I only do this whenever I feel like it, or when I need a filler post (just being honest, hehe).
Life Lately | Just a Bunch of Random Things
Before anything else, have you heard Die With a Smile? It's so good! It's the latest track from Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga- the talented performers who wrote countless songs that have made it to anyone's playlist at some point. It's now playing in the background. Nakikikanta nadin ako. If you haven't seen the live version yet, you should check it out (it's on the YouTube channel of Bruno Mars). Amazing performance.
Coffee & Donut High
I had a hard time resting last week because of a few things. Stress? Maybe. Gosh. I drank Black coffee like water and munched on Choco Butternut donuts lol. Thinking about it now, I haven't been kind to my body. I don’t always do that, but sorry, self huhu. Kung ano yung dami ng gulay na kinakain namin, natatabla naman ng sugar. Bawi nalang ako.
Birthday Celebrations
Last October, we celebrated Lola's birthday. We had dinner with her sisters, our cousins, and other relatives on a quiet weekend. Lola's already 80+ years old, but when you ask how old she is, she always says she's 75. It's cute. Ayaw nya talaga lumampas ng 75 hehe.
Another celebration we attended was Auntie Bel’s late birthday party (she's the one in the White top). She had many guests. The gathering was held at Corso Como 88 in Makati and it was fun. We also got to spend time with our cousins over delicious food.
October seems to be the month of aunties, hehe. We saw plenty of them last month, including our Auntie Emz, who stayed in Manila for a week.
Palengke Day at Farmers' Market
With the crazy price increase of vegetables at the grocery, my husband and I planned on scheduling trips to the wet market instead. The original plan was to shop at Pasig City Mega Market (Pasig Palengke), but since my parents mentioned they have better deals at the Farmers' Market, we went there instead. I am glad we did because we got plenty of fish and veggies at the best prices. Everything was cheaper and fresher.
Weekday na kami nagpunta para hindi matao, and ayos naman. Organized lahat kaya hindi hassle mamalengke. We ordered fresh fruit shakes after.
Christmas is in the Air
I have been looking forward to this year's Christmas, so I started ordering stuff for our Christmas village in the first week of October. Everything arrived earlier than expected, so I was done by the second week. I'm happy with how it turned out. It's nothing fancy, but it's beautiful to look at. I'll make a separate post for it! Hehe, I’ll share where I got some of the items. Sobrang natuwa talaga ako habang inaayos ko sya.
Here are some of the little figures and decor I got for the little village.
I guess that would be all for today. If you reached the end of this post, thank you so much. See you on the next one.
