Hide Reaction Counts on your Facebook Profile

If you’re a social media manager with social media duties to perform, or maybe a blogger or entrepreneur who maintains a business page on Facebook to reach more people, staying off the platform might not be an easy task.

You don’t have to get caught up in the world of social media, though. There are ways to work around it and improve your experience, like using a Newsfeed Eradicator to not see anything on your feed or adjusting your privacy settings to hide the number of reaction counts on your posts.

Reaction counts= the number of likes and reactions you get from a post.

Why hide reaction counts on posts?

While there’s nothing wrong with having like and reaction counts displayed on your profile, it can be unhealthy to constantly see numbers as they’re designed to appear as real validation, when in reality, it isn’t. Getting a low number of likes may make you feel less wanted or less interesting, as compared to getting a thousand like counts, which implies social acceptance, at least online. I’m sure you get the idea. As humans, the need for social validation is normal; it’s just that social media has taken it too far. Far to the point that it has caused a lot of people to rely on Facebook or Instagram for news or as a basis to judge someone else’s life. Like, if you don’t post as many updates anymore, some of your acquaintances will think something’s wrong or that there's not much going on in your life.

Most likely, they're not aware that they’ve become fixated; so there’s no need to be upset about it. These online platforms are designed to be extremely addictive. We should all be mindful. Of course, younger kids should exercise more caution in the use of social media, most especially nowadays.
