Free Online Resources for your Digital Biz
Are you looking for free online resources you can use for your digital business or your schooling? You’ve come to the right place! Here’s a quick list of websites (and some software) that can help you ace your next project.
Photos, Videos, and Icons
Pexels is my ultimate go-to for blog post cover photos because they’ve got so many nice photos, and the same goes for their mobile wallpapers as well.
When I can’t find what I’m looking for from Pexels, Unsplash is the next site to visit. They have just as many high-definition photos you can use for projects, posts, or presentations.
📌 Flaticon
Get cool icons for free on Flaticon. They have over 5 million vector icons and stickers!
📌 Icons8 and 📌 Find Icons
If you still can’t find the perfect icon from Flaticon, check out Icons8 and FindIcons.
📌 Canva
If you’re a freelancer or a student who does a lot of graphic design and creative presentations, you most likely already have a Canva account. But for those who haven’t discovered this yet, here you go. You can sign-up for an account for free and start making designs, or you can also go for the premium subscription to have access to thousands of fonts, graphics, and photos.
Grammar Checker
Keep your writing deliverables awesome to get more referrals. Check out these free grammar checkers online. 📌 Grammar Check
This is my go-to site each time I finish writing something. So what I do is that I brainstorm, write away, polish my work, then check it on this website (usually per paragraph). A new tab will then open in your browser, showing the results. You'll be able to identify errors easily by looking at the buttons on the right side of the page (they’ll be in Yellow). If there’s none, then enjoy the satisfying Green buttons.
📌 Ginger Software Another option for you is Ginger Software’s grammar checker, which is just as good as Grammar Check.
Fancy Text Generator
If you want to use cool fonts for your profile description or page name, Lingo Jam is one of the best websites to generate stylish text.
The Fancy Text is another option, and the name already says it all. They do provide fancy text.
Document Conversion & Compression
Do you have any large photos that you need to compress? This website is the best. They also provide free compression of PDF, GIF, and JPEG files.
I love PDF offers a lot of document conversion options online. And they convert it fast too!
Others
📌 Photoscape & Photoscape X (software)
If you don’t know how to use Photoshop or Corel Photo-Paint, Photoscape would be the next best bet for photo editing. While it doesn’t have all the advanced tools like the former, it still has a bunch of useful alternative editing tools to make your visual outputs look professional.
Looking for a free video editor that doesn't add watermarks on the final product? If yes, then go ahead and download OpenShot. It’s a free open-source video editor that’s easy to use. This is what I use to edit my YouTube videos.
Have you got a file that won’t open using your normal media player? It can get quite annoying, right? Downloading this media player from VLC is the solution to that problem. It plays most multimedia files and is free to download.
This is the website I use for converting YouTube lyric videos to MP3 versions when I want to download some nice hits. You can use this for MP4 too!
So, there you go! Surely, you’d be able to use one or two of these free online resources for your work. Will add more next time.
Stay safe.
