Box of Love Project at Virlanie Foundation
Just a few months ago, we visited the "Masaya Home" at Virlanie Foundation to turn over the boxes I've received for the "Box of Love" project, a small birthday project I initiated to celebrate my 24th by giving away colorfully wrapped boxes that contained toys, clothes, books, and even snacks.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we weren't able to deliver the boxes and celebrate my birthday in December, so I had to move it to February to do everything (literally the morning after our beach trip! what is sleep lol), but the good news was, more people got to give boxes of love! 😁
Friends from La Salle Dasma sent me books and nice clothes, former officemates from the Distribution Management Committee prepared colorful gifts, sir Allen from Alveo Land gave me money to purchase some more items for the kids, and generous neighbors messaged me to hand in their boxes as well.
BIG thanks to everyone who donated and showed support for Box of LOVE at Virlanie!
a) Thanks to Meane for waking up early to help me load the boxes (only the two of us transported all the boxes, most of which were heavy, so I appreciate this alot);
b) Thanks to Lulu for providing Jollibee for the kids (her birthday happened to be on Feb so she, along with Claudine, Gia, and Winona, happily joined). I'm glad the kids were full;
c) Thanks to John Francia and ate Alma of Virlanie who assisted us all throughout the gift-giving (they were really nice); and
d) Thanks to everyone who donated! Your efforts are very much appreciated 🧡
That would be all for today. I hope to do this again in the future and make more kids happier.
If you are interested to start a similar project, please send me an e-mail. Thanks for reading the blog, bye! xx Andi
